VDVR Training

In order to encourage voter registration, Texas election law provides for County Voter Registrars to designate individuals to assist in the registration of eligible persons to vote. These individuals are appointed as Volunteer Deputy Registrars and operate under State rules and the supervision of the County Voter Registrar.

There are only a few requirements to become a voter registrar:

(1)   You must be at least 18 years old.

(2)   You must not be convicted felon, or if a felon one who has fully served out their time.

(3)   You must be a United States Citizen

Don’t worry if you cannot get VDVR certified–there will be plenty of opportunities to help out throughout the year with registering voters!
